Carbon Grey is still the best colour for a GTI, followed closely by Tungsten silver.
There, I've said it

Do these weigh roughly the same as a standard VW wheel? I'm interested in a set for putting some Bridgestone A005s on too.

With A005 tyres fitted these weigh 19Kg. Don't know how this compares to an Austin with Tyre fitted.

18" Tyres seem to be about 11Kg average? So about 8Kg for the wheel?

EDIT - I have just weighed the Austins with PS4 tyres and they are 21Kg. So the new wheels/tyres are 2Kg lighter each.

VW related- today I've stared longingly at a Bugatti Chiron, the 2 foot gap and the 1 inch thick glass box separating me from it - I'm in Strasbourg to do an audit on a Chemical company in nearby Molsheim (the home of Bugatti). Pics when I get back - O2 says my roaming is free but I'm not sure I believe them.

The best proper GTI colour is Tornado Red BTW. Although I like grey Metallica, I do prefer those with blue/purple hues, not green (a la Carbon Grey) or sandy brown. Loved Pewter grey on the Scirocco.

Isn't it odd that on the Polo, Flash Red is free and pure White comes at a cost, whereas on the Golf, Pure White is free and Tornado Red comes at a cost. Tornado Red used to be free on thw Golf and Pure White free. The EU should have a look at that before we leave them. They are obligated to have at least 1 "free" colour, but they've always tried to justify the cost of metallics by making out that 150g of powdered aluminium costs them enough to charge £565 more for it.
