Silly question then, why have a longer throw to start with?

Nothing silly about that, a very good question!

I love my car but I did get the wrong number of doors and photos like that have me thinking I got the wrong colour, looks great Watts.

Thanks for that  Colour wise though night blue looks fantastic, I'm sure you're very happy with it and it's unavailable so you could always get red next time!

If you want to get the Audi lever the part number was 8J0711046E at £37.26+VAT. Great value compared with aftermarket ones.

The mad bit is that I never liked red u tiles I had a loan of one from the dealer for a few weeks but that was after I bought mine but before I picked it up.

Part ordered and due into myocal dealer tomorrow

Excellent! Just go easy with the nut, online it said 25nm so that's what I went with. And keep the lever in neutral!

I followed the advice on here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6tMReibH7I

The only other thing is getting the airbox off. A 7mm socket to undo the clamp on the pipe at the turbo elbow then just pull off. Pull off the small pipe at the top left side of the airbox, it's tight so I encouraged it to move with a small screwdriver  Then the airbox can be removed complete, sharp tug at the back and right side then when loose just lift out angling up at the back so the inlet at the front comes out. Follow the attached video to replace the shifter and check all is okay (ie run through all the gears) before putting the airbox back!! Once finished, a smug look, a nice cuppa then a good drive are the order of the day

+1 for the good job. I like the drivers side shot; we don’t normally see that wide an angle shot of the side of your car, including the shiny exhaust tips.

Cheers SR, I'm a bit limited with taking pictures as things are a bit tight on my "drive" but the neighbours were out today

Cheers, I'll be picking it up this evening and hopefully fitting it over the weekend. Going to finally fit my spacers today, considering they have been in the boot for the last few months I think it's about time.
