Washed it. And now it's raining

Managed to grab a quick shot before it tipped down:

Same as me then, without the photo.

I also had two wheels replaced for the lacquer bubbling, whilst there they noticed one of the other wheels has a problem or fault but under the black part of the spoke.

Decided to wait and have all three done at the same time.

VERY good so far, let's hope it's not going to turn out to be a nightmare like kamilion(I think) had. They have suggested that I remove the other wheel and have a good look at it.

The car was a bit dirty by the time I got there after washing it and they asked if they could clean the wheels to look over them and knowing how picky I am they let me clean them, with my own stuff that I keep in the boot.

Very relaxed run today from home to the Norfolk coast to see family. Motorways free moving for a change and even the A roads from Cambridge were pretty good apart from the occasional slow driver. What a really relaxing car the GTI can be and so comfortable. Economical too, 143 miles, steady progress with the odd burst of energetic overtaking (the A10 can be difficult) and 46.9 average mpg! Can't grumble at that

Not strictly for the Golf but for both cars and my son - fitted one of these to my garage door - first impressions are promising

Had a nice run down to North Wales this week impressed with the MPG, best I've ever had, I don't do many long runs - this was mostly motorway and A roads

Had 4 Michelin PilotSport4 tyres fitted today. Car is only 1 month old but I had to get the Bridgestone tyres off!

Drove the car home and checked the tyre pressures 30psi all round. That might be why the car was so quiet and so comfortable. All tyres now at the recommended 38psi.

Tomorrow I'll be driving on the road where I decided the Bridgestone's had to go.
