What's the current lead-in time?  Can always while away the time buying stuff for it, hardly anyone ever does that ;-)

Have been quoted 10-12 weeks but honestly don't know. If it's much longer than that then I'll probably leave it to September to collect. Will definitely be stocking up on lots of cleaning goodies but will likely get it professionally detailed when it first arrives

10-12 weeks!  That's barely qualifies as a wait by vw standards, lol.  Anything on your current car that will be transferred over to the R? Non stock I mean.

Apart from my private reg that is all. Will definitely consider purchasing a pedal box at some point though and perhaps even a tuning box later on

Put it in Eco mode for the first time and got 42mpg on my way to work which is pretty impressive. Unfortunately it was the most boring drive so back to Sport mode it is!

Certainly was, returning from Serigne in France to Aberdeen in a oner. Thanks largely to how good these things are ☺️

Definitely a road trip glad the car stood up well... I do Kent to Edinburgh regular bet at least iv got a 9 x 2.5ft bed behind my seats and air ride lol
