Sometimes the lugs on the Aliexpress one need a little plastic shaving off with a knife , but I know someone who bought and fitted theirs from this link who didn't need to do this, so it's possible they've resolved the issue.  Perhaps cosmos can confirm?

I did still need to cut away a bit of the plastic but not so much that it didn't also need a good bash to get it in place  There's something incredibly satisfying in bashing something in to place and then hearing or feeling a 'click' as it confirms back to you that it's fitted correctly.

Is the link above definitely for a right hand drive model? Is it easy to fit?

That looks to be the same link as the one I bought from, (which is definitely RHD) as detailed in the thread below along with some fitting guidance. Very easy job.

Mine just popped on with no modification. THE most essential mod for our cars. Makes it look complete, down there, if you know what I mean!

Lol, I know what you mean.

Think they must have slightly altered the lugs now, which is good news.  A few have fitted it and broken them off, probably thumping it, kalimon style.
Kalimon style indeed

OK returning to thread title...

Popped the bonnet this morning (I know, must be mad - it was freezing) and topped up with nearly two litres of mixed VW screen washer fluid (first time from new after six months).

I also gave the plastic covers and the tops of the headlight mounts a good clean as its surprising how much muck permeates in there (although this is not the first time I have cleaned it). I guess the seal is not quite perfect and the slipstream forces the dirt in....

My OBDeleven arrived this morning.

After a quick scan to see all was well with the car, I disabled the stop/start, amended the coming home setting to automatic and tried the "pace car" rear indicators.

I will see how I get on with these if any need reverting to standard?
