Got the phone call to say repairs are complete and car ready.  Picking it up tomorrow morning.

Great news  Enjoy it and looking forward to some extra super shiny photos!

As for mine, all wheels off and cleaned then treated to a coating of G-Techniq C2v3. Was pleased to see how little muck was on the barrels and the rear of the spokes, made all those tricky cleans with my hands bent in all sorts of directions worthwhile! Gave the calipers a good clean too. Rest of the car is pretty filthy though  Only disappointment was finding out that I now only have one un-kerbed wheel left

Massive deluge, floods everywhere. Just drove through 2ft of water. Oil temp went up to 105c! Will my engine be ok?

Oil temp should run somewhere above 100C, normally, so not a problem. I think 105C is probably a bit on the low side. Oil needs to be hot enough to boil off any condensation.

2ft of water? Is the car interior flooded? If you'd taken water into the engine and tried to compress it you'd have a completely buggered engine, oil temp a little high may be due to the drag of driving through the water at speeds to low for effective cooling (like idling in heavy traffic can see the car get a bit warm). If the engine is still running then it's fine, 106C is nothing to worry about.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Oil temp of 105 nothing to worry about.

On the R oil temps run normal at 104/105C. Mine often saw 108 plus though the summer.

Typically oil doesn't start to brake down this side of 120 degrees.

Got it back from the bodyshop.

Collected my car this morning.  Despite having to inspect it in the rain, I am thrilled to say, the body shop has once again, done an absolute top top job.  Quality of repair really is second to none.  Respray and blending is spot on - no discernible paint mismatch between the new bumper (plastic) and the rear wing.  No overspray.  New bumper perfectly aligned and panel gaps exact along their length. As if it never happened!

Lepsons refurbishment of my damaged Pretoria is equally of exceptional quality.  The paint match is excellent, neither lighter or darker, which was a big concern. And the finish is just as it should be.  If I was being uber picky I would say the refurbed wheel colour is marginally less bluey than the others but I am talking less than a 5% margin of difference between them.  Given that quite a few refurbed Prets have come back noticeably darker, I am more than happy with that.  Needs sealing to protect and add shine but really pleased with it.

Car and wheels need a wash as dirty by my standards, but torrential rain outside so that will have to wait.  I am massively relieved.

Some pics of the repairs:
