Picked up my new R today!
The last quick Golf I had was a VR6 about 17 years ago, the progress fast cars have made in that time is staggering.
Even keep the badges on😉

Followed my wife's old GTI Pirelli for about 15 miles on a nice mix of B roads and pleased to see it looking great and being driven as it should

Always nice when you see your old car looking good.

I occasionally see my 2008 mk5 GTI, but it's seen better days.  It lives on a farm and looks like it!

Topped up the oil today, 500ml went in. That's a litre I've put in so far and it's done 8200 miles over a year. Seems reasonable and better than my old Audi.

Swapped the front GTi badge for a Red one - must have gained 10 bhp  :nerd:

Cleaned what seemed like an entire play pit of sand from under the bonnet so my power to weight ratio must have improved
2019 Oryx White 5dr TCR.

Was - 2015 Tornado Red 3dr GTI PP, manual, Santiagos, Audi short shifter.

Not too bad on the oil front Watts my old A3 2.0 TDI Sport ad done 103000 didn't use much oil at all..
Like the weight ratio bit too may well improve your mpg as you won't have to rev as much pulling the weight hahaha
