Thanks for that. Did you make them an offer?
No I didn't because Andy (Exonian) assured me that any offer of below 50p less than asking would be rejected
He was speaking from experience I believe.
They are far cheaper than similar H&R spacers and the like and I regret not buying them sooner to be honest.
Good to see they've arrived, nice photos too, they really are pretty and it's a shame to fit them hidden away behind the wheels!

It's a bit odd that they have a "make offer" button because when I got mine they counter offered pretty much at the original price! Maybe others will have more luck?
A great company to deal with. No messing, very quick dispatch and excellent communications (all in better English than I can write!!)

I'm really looking forward to the pics of them on the car.
An ideal opportunity to get the backs of the wheels scrubbed, sealed and shining too :afro:
Mk7's just look so much better with spacers, in fact they look just like the original press renderings VW use in their literature and website gallery.

I suppose black spacers blend into the wheel whereas silver blend into the hub.
Black bolts look better but they do the same job and are covered anyway like you say.
I was convinced to buy the Sparco spacers after visiting the Sparco USA website. There is lot of information on there and they are a serious company, with a huge name in motor racing.

Yeah that was my thoughts when buying black that they blend better with the wheels being black it's subtle and don't stand out unless you look closely.
Black us black the only thing with silver to the hub is when the hub discolours like my wife's scirocco has if your wanting to keep the same look then the hub would need painting with heat proof paint if ppl are bothered lol.
Yeah sparco is a big name I recall the 80s when you could buy the red and blue seat belt pads gee that was a mod back then haha

Had the damage to the rear off-side door (dent and chip) and rear bumper (wheel arch scuffs) assessed at my preferred body shop this morning and also assessed by a PDR / Smart repair specialist.

Due to the door dent being in such an awkward place, right on the door crease, and being both horizontal and vertical in nature, PDR is not a viable option and Smart repair to the chip will be noticeable.  As I'm a bit of a perfectionist I will not be happy with that, so, as expected, it's going to be a proper body shop job to rectify and get it back to perfect. Same for the the bumper scuff, whilst the upper part of it is in the clear coat and possibly could be polished out, the lower bit needs paint as it's deeper - gone through the clear coat.  So the dent will be sorted and the chip filled, then the door will be repainted (door handle and window trim will be removed).  At same time they will sort the bumper and repaint the lower corner.

Total cost is £486.  Will be getting it booked in for the work soon.

That's a bummer Mr's B, but hopefully the only mark or dent after you've had it done will be the damage to your bank account. It's amazing how much these little scrapes etc cost to put right and its so god dam annoying when none of it is your doing

Managed to fit my wheel spacers today. Everything went smoothly apart from not having the correct star drive to remove the screw from the hub, which is then in turn used to secure the spacer in place to make fitting easier ( I've not seen this system on any other spacers other than Sparco )
I had to fit the spacers without this screw which made it much more difficult
I had a quick drive in the car and everything appears fine, although the steering does feel a bit heavier.
It certainly looks far better now,a lot squatter in it's stance.
Judge for yourselves, although I was too weary to take many decent shots

That looks so much better Andy "wickid stance bro, innit" as they'd say on some forums (or on Eastenders).
Great shots. I'm hopeless at remembering to take photos when doing car mods.

I didn't use the little screws either for much the same reason. I bet 90% of people that buy them think "what a clever little idea" then don't get round to fitting them!!

It thoroughly pissed me off to be honest as using the screw would have saved my poor back.
Another lesson learned, don't start a job without having ALL the correct tools. I couldn't find my massive role of emery paper for cleaning the hubs either so had to resort to using sand paper.
Pathetic!!
