I'll wait until I get my car in March and see how the Austins stand up.
I love the look of the Austins but not sure about their durability after readindg various posts.
Hopefully they will be fine.

Over the last week watched the average mpg plummet from a steady 24 to 19.9 as a result of the Canterbury city xmas traffic meltdown.     It's bad at the best of times, but has gone into overdrive.  Forgotten what it's like to travel faster than 10mph!

Almost managed to soil the drivers seat. After following the car in front for a considerable amount of time pulled out to follow it around a stationary bus. Nearly messed myself when the front assist kicked in and locked the front wheels for a second. Not sure if it didn't like the stationary bus or the oncoming traffic but it woke me up somewhat.

If it's any conciliation Rebecca, my GTD's MPG has plummeted to a disastrous 41.8mpg in all the Christmas traffic and road works around my way

Yes, I feel much better now, knowing your GTD mpg is so shockingly low as to be only double mine.

No matter how low it is, it will never be low enough to get me into a diesel, Mr chucker of soot.

Thanks Rebecca
Really wanna fit them now, but as my car is going into VW in Jan for some niggles (as you know) I don't want them trying to blame me changing the wheels the cause of the issues

Maybe test fit them next week when I'm off and nothing to do

Yeah, can understand that, but you should do the test fit, photograph them and show us the pics.  Have you got a decent wheel sealant Ian?
