I can't find Jackie Treehorn's post regarding lighting up the rear door strips on his car. I have searched but to no avail.

I would like to light up my R's rear strips.

What was the competition?

"In no more than two words, try to think of a reason why you'd not want a RS3"

The winning entry.... Golf R420 :)

Think I just registered my interest in the RS3, I just wanted to know when it was on the configurator tbh but hey winner winner chicken dinner! Goodwood is a hell of a long way though, but im guessing its worth it?

That would be a great mod Asker if it's fairly simple to do. It's surprising that on a £30k plus car that you only get the feature on the front doors.

A few friends of mine go every year and they love it. It's probably a 200 mile plus trip each way from my neck of the woods but if you're a true petrol head then it's apparently a 'must do'
I've never been mind you.
Most of the hotels in the area will be booked out well in advance so just be prepared to stay a bit further away.
Congrats anyway, that's a pretty cool prize

I've been to Goodwood.

Its ok, as long as you know your difference between a 1963 Ford Cortina L and the GL ("its the trim on the wing mirrors you see" - said in my best nasal train spotter voice).

Other than that, its an expensive place to buy a hamburger.

Is your ticket for the weekend or during the week?

I think its Saturday you get to see the helmeted heads of famous racing drivers doing 40mph over a bumpy driveway in very expensive fast cars (going very slowly).

Go have a look at youtube and see what you will be getting.... only unless you have grandstand seats (extra charge) you will see the top 6 inches of whatever it is going past you behind some hay bales.

It really is just a car geeks thing - its not motorsport, its not really terribly exciting and its mainly for toffs.
