Try a GTI spec switch, they are different to the lower spec models.

Which engine code do you have? Do you have one or two pressure sensors?
The speedo you have is from a 1.8 75/90hp - not GTI, GTI ones have a different rev counter (the 1000 line is where the 800 is with others).

Oil switch used in the 1.6 (100hp), most 1.8 and 2.0 engines is 056919081E, white 1 pin. I had assumed that you would have a "large" 827 block 1.6?

What is the engine code?
It's written in the service book, on the cambelt cover or on a sticker on the boot floor?

There a a lot of different engines in mk3 Golfs, for each displacement there is approx 4 different engines - with more or less a lot of differences (e.g. there are 4 GTI engines with different injection systems, which is why the code is essential):

Think the switches may be different there, need to check prob easiest is to put the 2 AAM pressure switches in, you might only need to swap one, will check and let u know if i find out.
