Re insurance, start with elephant.co.uk and work from there getting quotes on line from people like bell direct and Admiral :wink:

I'm with HIC, I got a great deal for my valver. Fully comp with an agreed value policy of £3300 with points and an accident it was still only about £550. That covers spare parts in storage aswell.
Martinb on this forum works for HIC so it might be worth speaking to him.

Welcome to the forum.  :smiley: To do 66k mileage a year then you are going to have to go diesel or as Splinter says LPG, but there's an initial outlay to pay to go down that route, might be best to do some homework and work out which will be cheapest for you in the long run. For insurance go to www.confused.com and they will get you quotes from over 20 companies just so you can get a good idea of what it might cost.  :smiley:

I would like ml3 but i don't know if I can afford insurance on a GTI etc, so might have to go with a very basic one...wich is not much fun  :huh:

well my insurance is £750 and i've only just started on my own name, and i got a 2.0 GTi, and im 22.
