I use a Canon 400D 18-55mm lens,bought a lens hood,flash diffuser and gt a uv filter just waiting for my polarizer filter to come thorugh as well :)

My mates a real good photographer, I have this pic of me at hengrove from ages ago... so long in fact that I cant find the original so its frickin tiny!!!

Use quick selection and choose colour. Then adjust the RGB sliders or saturation until you get the desired result.

Another way (which is crude) is to go to IMAGE - ADJUSTMENTS - REPLACE COLOUR

sample the colour you want to make more vivid/brighter. Warning: it may select colours in other parts of the image (see example where I have made the blue more intense) and then adjust the SATURATION slider bar.

Notice that the jeans in the people on the left were also made brighter.
