Nope - the call was to Great - so I now have two

So - The Details

D Reg 1.6 CL 5 Door Auto.
Completely Standard ( for now )
74k
Few scuffs here and there.
Immaculate Interior
3 Owners from new.

So , the old girl has been installed in the garage and had a few jobs done already

1, Washer motor now works
2, Front scuttle drains unblocked
3, Carbed checked over, its newish and nice and shiney unlike the air filter blocker
4, Front bumper forever blacked - looks good after 2 coats, one to go
5, Rear parcel shelf covered in fabric to cover

and the the jobs list keeps getting added too

1, General check over ( oil, water, filters - oil n fuel bought tonight ready )
2, Change wheels for G60 steels and check brakes etc as we go
3, Source a lowering kit - its 4x4 ish
4, full interior out to check for rust and to clean
5, forever black the rear bumper
6, new number plates
7, insure it
8 drive it
9, think about doing the very minor bodywork repairs ( someone did sugget an arch kit as it would cover all the defects ???? )
10, paint the METAL cambelt cover and rocker cover and tidy up the rest of the engine bay
11, Remember that this is a winter runner whilist i sort its GTi brother out
12, stereo - my singing is BAAAD

I have decided to keep it as is, and NOT Rat it, as someone said, this old golfs are getting RARE and need  restoring :afro: so with the G60s on and a drop and it will be cosmetic improvements then some fettling

Well wot a FCUKING pain in the arse changing an AERIAL is on a MkII

but, The old girl is now sorted with working stereo and aerial,  4 speakers rewired as the old wiring was a tad

I stuck her in my friendly exhaust place and got the whole system re hung s she was now scraping on the ground.

Rust treated the 3 worst spots

I have even taken the plunge and insured her.

So its all stations go

Well a VERY productive hour after work - all thanks to ROBIWILL - Cheers again for the parts.

Tailgate now stays up - no more sore head

Petrol Flap now stays SHUT and doesn't open itself on Left hand turns

Heater now blows hot and cold, not just cold n cold

And despite breaking my new Wiper stalk, I managed to make one good one out of the 2,

so I now have front and rear wash n wipe, :afro: just not got FAST front wipers still  :undecided:

and I can now see more than just the FLOOR  out of the new drivers door mirror.

Just going to stick in a new stat and coolant over the weekend as the CRUD and CRAP that came out when I swapped the valves lead me to flushing the whole system for 20 minutes.
