I thought I would think the same but ergonomically it all works so much better. It's also closer to hand, better positioned to the driver, I'm not reaching over to it like I tend to be in the Golf... and a lot less likely to tap the wrong "buttons" too.

And there is no works slightly better about it. Its leaps and bounds better.

No. It would be a very expensive screen. I was just pointing out that we've paid a handsome price for being the early adopters. If swapping the ID4 screen into my Golf was as easy as "borrowing" the warning triangle kit from her previous car, I'd do it now

I agree with that !!! My first mk8 R was an absolute nightmare, one of the first to arrive i think and i paid the price lol.. Have to admit the CS is great, no issues with the software now thankfully , use apple carplay most of the time

An old tip but, if you hold the voice button for a few seconds it activates Android Auto to listen for your instructions.
