Title: Failure to start and clocks resetting

Ok so lately I have started experiencing a starting issue which resets the clocks. Most turns of the key the car will start fine. But every so often it will act as though the battery is dead and reset the clocks. However it will start fine on the next turn off the key. Any ideas?

Ignition switch starting to fail. Next time it fails to start when you've turned the key, give it a wiggle while turned still. If it helps then it's likely to be the switch.
