Is good, Is worth it if your thinking of polishing especially, really does get a lot more dirt of the car either way.
Also good to clay the car just after it's wet otherwise clay will start sticking the paint, perhaps using some form of lubricant as well although i found using some of the excess soapy water worked better for me.

born slippy is the best clay lube on the market imho
get a BS refill as it make 2.5ltrs of ready to use lube,
as above the supernatural clay is good, any soft/fine clay is good for a newB to claying.
