Completely agree about tyres.

How many times have seen drivers this season start from outside the top 10 to finish on the podium? Perez yesterday, Vettel last week. All you ever hear about in a race now is the tyres. Earlier on in the season some teams even stopped their drivers from going out in Q3 to keep their tyres fresh.

This winds me up a fecking treat!! Why bother trying to make it to Q3 and then not run??  IMO teams MUST do a competitive lap if they qualify for Q3.

Its bad enough watching it on TV so for the fans who have paid good money to be sat there and not see teams and drivers take part must boil their blood!!

I agree. I think they need to sit down and set out new rules for next season, including making sure tyres are not the main focus of every single race, which they are this season. Look at these 3 links I have found in 2 seconds ;

Massa saying tyre degradation cost him yesterday

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/102407

Then Webber saying the same about his tyres, which caused him to retire

http://en.espnf1.com/italy/motorsport/story/88485.html

And lastly Schumacher moaning about the tyres last weekend in Spa, who had to change from a one stop to a two stop due to the tyres, which in turn ruined his race

http://www.crash.net/f1/news/183488/1/gear_issues_as_well_as_tyres_thwarted_schumachers_race.html

To be honest, you can find stories like this after every race this season. Yes some of the racing has been exciting, but the tyres have ruined it for me

Just caught the hightlights of Monza...Good race. Some pretty bad misfortune for several people  :sad: JB in particular for me! Totally gutted for SV  :rolleyes:

LH win could not have come at a better time...I reckon he will stay now. 2 weeks on the bounce Mclaren have stolen the show!
