mk3 1.8 problems
« on: 26 March 2005, 16:48 »
I'm having problems with my 94 mk3 1.8. Started off cutting out on me sometimes at any speed.
Then got worse. Now its packed up on me and only starts once in the morning. First thoughts were the #30 ECU relay. But i looked in my fusebox and i don't seem to have one . I've checked the haynes manual and its not in the place it should be. Second row up. Third from left. In position 3.

Has anyone got a mk3 1.8 8v and can you confirm whether you have got one or not???

Would my car drive without it?

It could be that because mine looks a bit worse for wear. Where did you get that new part from?
How much?

But could it explain why the car will start after its being sat for at least 5 hours but then will not start again?

Also would you be able to check whether you have a no. 30 Ecu relay in position 3?
