MK8 GTI cant use the "voice control" on 1 month old car

Hi All,

Had my mk8 GTI 2 days, and trying to set up the voice control feature

But when I press the voice control button on the steering wheel it says "you need to buy that feature from the shop"

But when I open the shop there are only 4 items showing and non of those say voice control,

I have clicked the "we connect" thing and that's all working fine I can see my car in the app on my phone etc

Any ideas where I'm going wrong, please?

Have you logged into the car as a "primary user"?

Yes, I did the whole "press unlock on both key fob" thing, and now I use a pin when I start the car to get into my user if that makes sense,

But keeps just saying the same thing when I press the button

To be fiar I watched all of the reviews about this car and the only problem people seemed to have was with the intertainment system, but I have so far had no real issues with it so far as my car is almost definatly on newer software than the review vehicles they had,

The only small annoyances I have had so far:

1 - When chasing my friend around some nice country roads I've had the "your going to crash" error a couple of times when he was breaking aggressively in front of me
2 - Had the odd error on the screen but just clicked "try again" and seemed to work the second time
3 - The voice control not working

Well, I have found what the issue was, going to the desktop version of the weconnect app when I select "voice control" it shows me I can either have 1 month free or unlimited use for £250!!!!

F that! I will do without thank you very much

It used to be standard for some models, but it is now a paid option.
