OK, the bike has been Oryx'ed.

This is how it looked before:

And this is how it looks now:

It's also had new wheels and tyres put on in preparation for a 130 mile ride I am doing in September.  I am pretty happy with it, only just got it back so have not ridden it yet, going to take it out later and try it out.

Will keep me going until the GTI arrives.  Just had a call from the dealer, looking like late September/Early October delivery now - what a lot of crap!

Thanks, I am dead pleased with the new wheels as well, quite expensive (£190 for the pair) but should ride better.  Reckon I need some stickers on there?

Yeah the wheel look great, where they selected to emulate the Austins?

Some stickers below the water bottle holder maybe?

I'm liking it! GTi Forum sticker perhaps? You could mock some up on photoshop, I'm guessing the guys will be too busy putting HUGE wheels on and lowering various VW's in the virtual mod section.
On order - MK7 GTD, 5dr, DBP, Manual.
Est. Delivery was end Nov, now 3rd Jan ffs

Did you get the rear view camera added? You probably won't need to worry about the pano roof or the climatic air conditioning

Looks fantastic mate, top work, and a real one-off.  Would look good with some tastefully done GTI stickers on there I reckon.
Pure White Mk7 GTI (5dr, Manual)

They were selected because they were the best I could reasonably afford for a push bike.  Almost stretched to changing the pedals to white as well, but you cant see them once the shoes (white) are clipped in anyway.  But yes, they do look a bit Austin'ish.

I want stickers, but I also like the pureness of it as it is.  Have not made up my mind yet.

At this point I decided you need help with this white thing.

I didn't mention that there is also:

White Helmet, Gloves, Cycling shirt.  Black shorts (just in case I produce a wet fart while cycling) - but with white lettering.
