i saw what some people were doing with the radio/centre console, and liked it. so i thought id give it a go with a carbon fibre look. took the fascia and vents off, and bought myself a roll and a heatgun.

pretty happy with it for a first try!
TOOLS USED:
small scissors
large scissors
stanley knife
heatgun
fingers'n'thumbs
TIPS:
1. take your time
2. take your time
3. use the heatgun to melt the vinyl just so its easier to handle, and wrap around the edges, or it will flare with time, ruining the look!
4. if a crease or bubble appears, use the heatgun and squeeze the crease out gently with thumbs to the edges of the work.
5. rub the vinyl down onto the surface as good as possible beforehand
6. try to make sure that the weave on the bottom half matches up with the top half, it wont look right else. there were level guidelines on the back of the 3m vinyl which helped level things up
