Edition 30 build plaque Number ...What number do you own!

Hi all, purcased my 57 plate ed 30 a couple of weeks ago & love it. I've just satrted the ball rolling & have made the call, will hopefully be getting the call back in the next 24/48hrs! Will keep you posted over the next year

Back in a GTI after far too long.... Old one was a Mk2.  Had the car 2 weeks loving it so far.... i guess until the bills start rolling in

Anyway it's build number 087 .... nice early one 

If I've got it right and so far as i can tell (didn't ask) it has Heated seats, arm rest, 6 disc changer,ipod prep and multifunction stearing wheel over standard

Following many calls to Customer Services and unfullfilled assurances that I would be called back and kept updated, I finally received my plaque…..

Haven't got a badge to show what build number my car is.

Do they still send them out if you ask?

Otherwise how do you get the build number........presume VW tell you but is there any link to the chassis number

I need a build plaque with number. If VW don't do them anymore is there somewhere that makes replicas?

Pick the car up on Thursday....... 4 days to go.

Once you have the V5 in your name, you will need to fax it to Customer Services who will then start the process (assuming that they are still doing the plaques). Time to receive varies, but typically about 3 - 6 months. No point in chasing, as the just tell you it will be on its way very shortly, or is waiting to be released etc....

The plaques are made by Creative FX after instruction from VW:

Well e mailed customer service and got a phonecall (3 days later) asking to send copy of V5 which i did same day. Got phonecall 2 days later saying that they were sending me the plaque via Recorded Delivery. Ny number is 0851. They must have them all at VW and just waiting to be asked to send them. So any of you who have been hesitating there does not seem to be any wait now.

So we believe that 2300 were imported to the UK

How many are there worldwide? Never seen the number anywhere.

Got the plaque No.0851 with its instructions how to fit!

Put the Plaque where i wanted it pressedd really hard all over to ensure good adhesion and it fell off 

The sticky back is about as sticky as water!

So how many ED30's are there worldwide then?

Well spoke to VW & finally managed to get sorted (last owner was on a private plate),took my details & VW said they would be in touch/post plaque out. Got a phone call last friday & they have already issued my car with a plaque no 1919 but it didn't come with it & VW won't send me another one    . Will have to send a letter to last owner & see if he still has it.
