Newbie from Cornwall
« on: 19 January 2022, 14:36 »
Hi,
I recently took delivery of my 71 plate white GTI Clubsport having previously driven a 67 plate Audi S3. First impressions are mixed but on balance I would say at the moment the Audi was a better all round package. I like the Golf but it doesn't have the same responsiveness from the engine and the infotainment system is woeful and so frustrating to use. Oh well Ive got 3 years to get used to it.

Welcome Carbreaker from neighbouring Devon

I’ve had a Clubsport since December 2020 and find the engine at least as responsive as previous generation models and even the throttle pedal seems fractionally more responsive (the latter being a big issue on MQB cars), but the DSG is often a culprit in making the car feel lethargic unless you’re really going for it.

Have you got used to the software yet? I didn’t find it too bad to get used to, it just seems ‘normal’ now.
