SFD capability now added to OBD Eleven app

A message popped up earlier on my phone - might be useful for those with OBD Eleven looking to make changes to protected settings...

What does one need to get OBD11 to work these days? On an iPhone / iOS specifically?

I bought an OBD11 Dongle years ago when I had a MK7 and back then it was Android only. Do I need to get a new OBD11 dongle?

Yes. The new obd11 - next gen I think it’s called/ is iOS compatible

Wonder if they’ll all more apps. Like an option to switch the light bar off and rear drls…

All of what you could possibly do is visible...

Rear drl if you really desire it (it's less safe...) is possible, light bar is not.

Is this as easy as just purchasing a device, plugging it in and selecting the changes needed? I.e a one off cost for good?

Pretty much - however, the one-click apps for changing settings in a safe way are paid for separately by credits - you can change settings manually without credits but unless you know what are doing and all the different combinations of settings needed to change, then you run the risk of screwing things up badly

What's less safe abour rear DRL activation as I have this activated and struggle to understand why its not standard?
