Back in the GTi club hopefully!
« on: 12 September 2021, 21:09 »
Hi all,
I should be rejoining the big GTI family this week.
Deposit down on a 2019 mk7.5 PP in white.
I have been lurking here a while and found the tips really useful while searching for a new car.
On the downside, reading about better features has added about 5k to my intended spend! Is there a thread running where I can apply for a rebate?
Can't wait to get it and start enjoying it.
Will be looking for advice on towbar fitting I think and probably decent rear seat covers in case I need to take the mutt anywhere with me!!

Been in the VAG camp for a while now having had a MK4 Anni Diesel GTi, Audi A3 Sportline dsg, T5, and and A6 Avant Black Edition Ultra in recent years.

All pointers gratefully received!

Thanks JB

Good choice, we have the same model but in grey.
The 2019 models seem to come with loads of tech, took a while to figure it all out.

I cannot help you on the tow bar, but I do know they come with a slot in the rear bumper for one.

Good to know, hate the thought of anyone hacking away at the bodywork!
(Also hate the thought of having to put my bikes on a bike rack but something has to give!)

Those wheels look well against the white paint, and they aren't diamond cut which is a big bonus.

Thanks, you know what, I'm really not sold on the wheels.
I've never liked all black wheels as they always look like they're not there in pictures!
I'm hoping they'll grow on me over time, if not I'll end up getting them refinished.
Agree on the non diamond cut finish though.
The old Anniversary wheels on the MK4 were bad enough!
Ironically I'd love a powder coated version of that colour maybe a shade or two lighter if I end up going for a refinish...
Really looking forward to getting it though, should be this week!
