Good choice bjbanny and good to see the wheels accept original bolt covers and centre caps

Thank you all. @Exonian the VW center cap is not the original it was slightly too big. although, it was easy to find the appropriate VW Cap size 56mm on eBay.

Having been caught out by this before - are the bolts directly compatible?  VAG's tend to have radiused seats but a lot of aftermarket alloys have tapered holes.

Yes the bolts were compatible and I could use the bolt cover too

Took the wheels off the ED45 to seal them and thought I’d weigh them. Just like the Belvederes they are super light, at least for a 19. I calculated 8.2 KG.

Hope you getting it sorted soon. Dented bonnets can be an absolute pain to repair. When mine was done smart repair companies quoted me £500. Luckily, a contact I have was able to pull the dent out for £40ish.

Oh no! I really feel for you Si. What a nightmare. That’s one for the insurance to sort I’m guessing(?)
How much damage did the car suffer all in?

What did I do to my mk8 today? Gave it a wash for the second time this week. Bloody hell it was cold.

Yesterday I gave it some slalom practice dodging branches blown all over the road at 5am. Safe to say it would pass the elk test quite well. The IQ lights never cease to impress me. Occasionally they don’t impress oncoming drivers though.

On Friday I discovered Pilot Sport 4S don’t corner at all in wet snow. The first snow I’ve seen since March 2018 and thankfully it was gone in under an hour.
