nice 1000% better look than the standard wheel
so, how do you find the ride comfort and turning radius compared to the change from standard 18's without dcc.
i am hoping to make similar change in a week time.

I have to say, I haven’t really noticed much difference in the ride as that was one of my main concerns swapping. I also don’t think there is a difference in road noise but my Mrs and kids disagree! Again, can’t say I have noticed any difference in the turning circle. I was concerned swapping to 19s but so glad I have.

FINALLY enabled map in AID - can have it up on both the AID and the MIB...

Yes, three things to change to enable it. Once enabled you just press the view button on the steering wheel and up it comes.

As for other things, yes a few more things you can play with now sfd is overcome.

I'd already set lane assist to remember if it's off, which is bloody excellent.

This is good to read, so long as OBD11 is iOS friendly I can now sell my old VCDS (which won’t work on a mk8 anyway but is unlimited VIN so still has some resale value) and do a few things without having to bugger about with long coding as I’m getting too old to be bothered about fiddling around like that anymore.

The thought of lane assist being fully off along with the Soundaktor switched out in Sport Mode is very appealing.

After so much deliberation i opted for Borbet Y bronze 19 x 8 ET50.
 What a difference a good set of 19 makes on the GTi
I didn’t notice any change in comfort and road noise.
Am very pleased 😀

They look great and IMHO really suit the mk8 GTI. It’s nice to see someone getting something a little different.
