Wayne, thanks mate.  What exactly would we need to source to do the conversion?

From memory, stub axles, discs, calipers and brackets plus handbrake cables, well worth fitting a pair of new wheel bearings as well.

So thats a gti servo and mk2 rear brake assy on the to do list. Nice!!!!

Good to hear ur of for the servo and rear brakes. 2 bolts hold the rear axle onto the chassis

So this is a very OLD thread... but Project TID is about to be revived ;)

My mate has been driving this for the last 2.5 years without issue and it's just too good to bin!!

So in the coming weeks, it's getting a new paintjob, new 17" rims, grill, headlights and a few other things ;)

I'll keep you posted.

And FINALLY.. a month later of much grafting and late evenings sacrificed.. Project TID Phase 2 is complete!
