Post by: Mattyj on 02 October 2016, 16:17
Having trouble getting the tow bar off it attaches like the bumper irons but theres no nut inside the window where the bumper iron fits is like a threaded washer thats not welded to the iron so spins if bolts real tight got the front two out using mole grips but cant get them in for the backs any ideas??

Goes through the same.holes as the bumper iron? Where the 2 bolts either side are. Should be welded nuts on the iron. If the nuts have broken the welds then all I can think of is undo the 13s that hold the legs to the iro and then try get a spanner in there with the bumper out the way. Failing that drill the back bolts and have new nuta welded onto the iron after and replace the bolts.

Hmm I think drilling is the only option. Csn you get q pucture up. Might he able to see it more as all I can think is an original  iron with a tow bar, bar bolted under it using the same bolts

That one in the distance. Got a welder? Weld the nut on and undo. As long as you can get it to stick its worth a shot.
Thats what id be doing or finding so gips that are long nosed to hold it.

Definately is mate, strange that it hasnt got flat edges just in cas. Id fire a welder on it to get it to stick to the iron and undo. The heat should also make the bolt come easy.
