Just picked up this last week, had a few mk2's a few yrs back now, one was a driver then a gti 8v. Owned a mk3 gti at the start of year and wasnt too impressed so been looking around for a mk2 again. Very impressed with how well this ones been looked after. Certainly turns heads and i'm pretty pleased with her. Not sure whats on the cards for it yet though. Just enjoy it through the summer i suppose. Let us know what u think, thanks Matt

bodywork looks very good from the photos and the engine bay looks nice and clean.
Not to keen on the front or rear lights though.
how many miles it done?

yeah i agree with u about the lights, think smoked ones at rear will look better. I've also got the standard 4 spot grille to fit back on in the next week when i get round to it. Mileage is 145k about average i suppose but its all documented. Paintwork is great apart from front wings showing signs of paint starting to crack in places. No rust underneath and never been welded too which is good to know i suppose

Ok so the tax and test are just about to run out next week on my gti so its coming off the road for a couple of months (at the most all been well)
Bought a mk3 vr6 for silly money so converting it over. Heres a few pics of what ive been up to already in the last few days.

ALready got the dash pulled out ready to get the loom sorted out. Just about ready for the engine out now then i can prep it all ready for stripping the vr6 down next week. Will upload more photos as i go along
