Replace them all. Something to consider is that the 18" PS4 is a different tyre to the 19" PS4s. The PS4s is a better tyre. I hated the PS4 set I had on my pp GTi, found them far too soft in the sidewall. Very grippy but I didn't like the wallowy feel they gave.

Is it worth asking to keep my existing rears? As a contingency if I get a puncture in the new tyres soon after getting them fitted? It's not that money is tight, but I have to bear in mind the financial aspect especially around xmas

I’d change all 4 - PS4S.
3mm is when I would look to change anyway
You’ve got dcc so you can stick to 19s without compromise.
Doesn’t seem to be a good reason to drop to 18s. There’s not that much difference in tyre price, is there?

An 18" PS4 is about £60 cheaper fitted than a 19" PS4S. That's about 36%

I've gone for all 4, keeping the 19s.

Wise decision. Nothing much better than new quality tyres especially at this time of year. My car went from the Pirellis with regular tramping even in warm dry conditions to hardly ever getting tramping with the Michelins. Plus a more comfortable ride.

Wow, that’s quite a price difference. Glad I didn’t spec 19s

I don't know if I would have specced them, but they came on the car and I do quite like the look (when they're clean )

Thanks. WRT to time of year, that was part of my thinking. I know they're a summer tyre, but I'm not doing many miles now due to COVID so anything else would seem a waste - I don't reckon I'll be back to work until at least April. The tramping is one of my least favourite things about this car - I've been wanting to try these Michelins for a while now, see if it makes any diffference.

Get them fitted on Friday
