I will keep my current MK7 GTD for at least 2 years before i decide which direction i'm going to go.

Much the same here.Bought it new in September. Will give it 3 years, use my 3 year service plan.See how it goes.Probably keep it till it's 5.But nothing is set in stone.
It's a fantastic all rounder, best of both worlds.

I'd love to think that it will be something with more than four cylinders. As much as I love Golfs I'm now on to my 8th, and I really feel like I should experience something different.

Initially the M2 was going to replace the R, given the residuals at the moment I am going to keep it for another year as my daily

Any future VWs are likely to be rented

That's exactly why I'm considering leasing for the first time ever. VW are still flooding the market with R's just now so go knows what the trade in prices will be for those who have purchased them

I sold my MK6 GTI a few weeks ago so looking for a replacement.

Was heading to a S3 saloon but they are now delayed as there is a facelift coming and orders have been frozen.

Been driving GTIs for 25 years so thought it was time for a change.

Driving my Mums 1.4TSI MK7 until something comes along.

In reality I cannot see the point of trading it in, its 2 years old and done 24k and i am changing for the sake of change as I'd sendup with something newer but not as good

Absolutely mate, well worth keeping it. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the M2. Just love the look of that car and I think it will hold its value brilliantly
