Cheer up grumpy pants!

So, we've had a few hints that the GTI might be going soon - did you get a private sale on it Fraulein B?
Someone will have a really good car there (kerbed wheels aside)

The R will be worth the wait, I can guarantee you that. Not that I'd have the patience

PS. You could've just started a new thread you know.

And yes, you should be entitled to a car courtesy of VW, though personally I think you should take up Mr W's offer and run his car in properly for a while...

Ah, I'm not really such a grumpy pants Mr Ex.  Just seem to spend a lot of time placating and reasurring others atm; work, home, etc, but vice versa, it's in short supply.  Anyway,

There may be a potential sale on the horizon, via this forum.

I didn't think my self indulgent moaning warranted it's own new whinge thread

I think Mr W values his alloys too much to risk it   If needs be I have use of other vehicle for some of the time (a Mitsubishi Warrior pickup - don't say anything), but I might follow up the courtesy car route if needs be later on.

Carefree cheerfulness will now resume

Sod's Law, I won't go anywhere near a kerb in the Warrior.  Will be liberating to drive a vehicle I don't care about, nor will it get a clean

Believe it!  I'm not wasting my precious detailing stuff on the redneck monstrosity.  It'll be lucky to get a quick blast with the jet washer if I'm feeling generous

That is very quick, and great news for you   Makes sense to hang on for the '65 plate.

My wait will be 36 weeks from order, if it comes end Sept, if not even longer.  Patience is a virtue, don't they say??
