Title: Frozen brakes????

The brakes on me mrs 2.0 seem to get stuck on a frosty mornin and take a good half mile to warm up and work as they should.my turbo parked next to it doesnt.any ideas y and how to prevent this?cheers

Shes sayin rear from the feel of it feels like the hand brakes on.

Only wen its cold like minus 2 or lower,ill have to have a drive next time it does it to get a better idea.

I had the same problem. on the handbrake cable there is a rubber boot before it goes onto the caliper. mine was broken and water was going in there and freezing overnight so when you released the handbrake nothing happened.
mine was so bad the discs where glowing red after a mile or so.
quick fix what to but a load of copper slip inside the boot but in the end I had to replace the hand brake cables

Nice one mate ill check it out its goin for a service and mot etc in a couple of weeks if it is that ill get it changed sounds like that could be it from wot uve said :smiley:

As steve said the handbrake cables can freeze if the boot is split.
