Bits of an update of things ive been doing the last two months.

So after I removed the R skirts I set about removing the old glue with a toffee wheel on the drill.

Next I started to fix up the sills years of not jacking up right left me with this below, plan was to straighten them out the seal them up again. I have them done now just need to get some pictures.

While I was striping off the old sealer I found a good but of rust below the sealer round the plugs. It looked like this,

Bought another set of R lights and my mate split the old set for painting.

Bought some Polly top mounts

Cleaned up the exhaust shield

Cleaned up some bits ready for pressing in the bushings and bearings

Paint removed from the smaller bushing hole.

Cleaned up my old hub centers as I need to use them with drive shafts.

Bushings pressed in

And bearings

Bought all new bolts and brackets for the exhaust

Lastly the rear seat is almost in, and the drivers seat is sorted on a custom rail.

Thanks mate, it changed since that pic. I got hold of some scirocco rear door cards so think I'll be able to do more of a hybrid door card and leave out the foam. There about 6inch too short each side. Had to make up a few brackets aswell.

Yea theres been a bit more but as always its been very slow going.

So this happened 9 weeks ago and and to be honest the cars not really that important any more.

But heres whats been done and where it sits at the min.

Did a frame notch

Got the R32 front ARB and rear beam brackets powder coated

The bags came at last

Shortened rear dampeners

Used this lot to fit the rear beam bush.

Old sub-frame bushes

New ones in

Cleaned up a few more bits

Last one of the car without the rear beam.  Tank and all was back in by this point.

Bought a set of IDF drop plates.

New Eibach ARB fitting kit just to get the rear bushes.

ARB fitted to the beam and fitting the beam happened at last

Cleaned out the threads

Drop plates fitted

New lines and stubs fitted

Bearings and splash guard fitted

Cleaned up the front hubs

Just about see the camber from the drop plates

Pulled a wheel out to work out adapters, Going with 25 and then mill them down to get the rear sitting even.

Rear sensor fitted

New exhaust brackets

Cleaned the exhaust up

Ordered up some half caps

And thats where we are now.

Things I need to get/plans for the next month or two are.

Send the brakes away to be painted
Rear heat shield
New boot build
Front ARB bushes
Right hand R32 brake discs
Clean and paint quick rack
Clean and paint drive shafts
Change the front dish on the wheels and work out adapters size
Fit front sensors and bags

Just a matter of saving up to pay for it all.

C&C Welcome as always.
