4.7 V8 in an old Fiat.

Tell us more?
Euromillions win?

No lottery win unfortunately. I bought a PP after selling my 911 & winter runabout (due to working from home and the crazy COVID price rises), decided that the PP was a bit of a one trick pony with the bonkers engine so have gone back to naturally aspirated with a Maserati Granturismo. The sound is glorious! (and there is proper space in the back for my growing kids of 12 & 14).
Previous Dubs now sold:
- Manual Mk7 CSG PP, stg1, RS3 bushes, 26mm RARB & a lot of carnauba.
- DSG mkV R32, black with even more carnauba
- Manual Corrado VR6, dragon green
- Manual Polo G40 - Tornado red, Jabbasport ported charger
- Mk2 Big Bumper 8v GTI, Calypso blue

It’s my first non-German car so I’m a little nervous. What it may (potentially) lack in reliability it makes up for with theatre! (So far so good though)

What issues have had how old is car?

2014. Waterpump and that's it.

Needs suspension bushes doing next as they are starting to creak a little.

Beautiful. Absolutely lovely.
The previous two aren’t bad either!

Today I had a harmonic damper fitted by a local garage to the rear subframe (see golfdave's how to guides) thanks to @Ceefeesh who sold me his unused part. I was sceptical about it's ability to quieten the car but actually, it does seem eerily quiet inside now and I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining it. Less rumble coming from the back. I'll see what my OH thinks next time we go out but so far I'm impressed.

Next I fitted an inlet manifold cover, this time thanks to @wantmygti. Tidies the engine bay up a treat!

Finished the morning off by utilising the GTI's practical side - a visit to Homebase to collect 10 bags of slate chippings....

Today has been the day of glass. Front and rear screens washed, decontaminated and clayed (with a mitt). Then a polish with CarPro CeriGlass and sealed with two applications of Gtechniq C2v3 (wiper arms too). Side glass cleaned with Valet Pro. Activities finished off with a new pair of Bosch wiper blades.

Booked first MOT for end of next week. Just coming up to 12k miles. Will give the car a clean and do a check before then.

Looks high quality. The tips look great and will match your car. You will need to figure out how to add audio before and after for us to appreciate the difference.
