Title: Mk2 vr6 running problem.
Post by: *tell* on 10 May 2014, 22:39
Just bought the mk2 of a mate after the 2.8 engine died ( mk3 obd2). He fitted a late corrado 2.9 into it still with the same loom and ecu. Question is would it run better with a corrado loom and ecu? Thanks terry.

You should require the 2.9 ECU as the fuelling maps will differ etc but the looms are the same if it is an OBD1 Coil Pack Engine (93-feb 95ish)

Cool thanks for the reply
Will a late corrado ecu connect to the obd2 plug okay?
I think all corrados are obd1 because there all pre 95.
It's running a mk3 aaa ecu with an eBay Motorsport chip in it
So I'm wondering if I need late corrado ecu or a mk3 golf ecu.

Thanks terry.
