Is it possible to disable this on the MK8?

If so anyone done it?

I'm sure I read on here that if you put the car in sports mode it does something to make the exhaust notes noisier, was wondering if it came through the fake noise box too.

Setting the engine sound to sport controls the exhaust notes as it does something to the ECU, you need that set to sport for pops any other mode it won't happen

Oh OK does this setting provide fake noise too? Sorry to ask these questions as I haven't got my car yet so can't check. I really dislike the soundaktor, I know some like it but I really don't.

Yes inside sound and outside. You can probably kill the soundaktor with obd11, i can see the controller but haven't tried adjusting it.
