But good excuse to post again - not that it looks like that now. Needs cleaning big style, just haven't had chance yet with weather, work and xmas etc

Collected it yesterday! Very happy indeed  :grin: Really pleased with the colour, think it really shows off the red stripe! Had a horrible drive home in rush hour traffic on the M60 / M62, but made it back in one piece. Not a lot of fun driving a brand new car in the dark in rush hour, but we survived unscathed. Looking forward to getting to know it better over the weekend, but loving it so far.

First estate I have seen on here (apologies if I missed someone's!) - be interested in your thoughts as I need a dog carrier that can also be fun when I want, makes me feel good when in it and isnt huge! I dongt do mega miles anymore so can cope with the mpg if the car ticks the boxes....

I'll never understand the VW design team???

^^ Exactly. Such a shame. It's one of the design features I love most about the GTI/D/R range. To be honest, it's a big turn-off for me ordering an R Wagon.

i imagine it is to do with likely sales volumes of estate v hatch...

besides I cant see the rear lights when driving it - I currently have an Audi with dynamic indicators - they still surprise me when I unlock it as I forget I have them. I am thinking it would be same with LED rears if I get an R wagon......

Got my new GTD in Carbon Grey on March 1st - absolutely loving it so far!

Gave it a clean this weekend and finished it off with some Auto Finesse Glisten which gave it a lovely deep shine!
