MJ-GTI - you can ask them to only register it next year but take delivery this year. You can run on paper plates for 21 days. My dealer was happy to do it from the beginning of December.
rocknob, i did speak to my dealer about the temporary plate and he told me that the traffic department will still recognise the car as being already on the road prior to 2014. Maybe he is not clued up, i will enquire again on monday. Are you back from your holidays as yet?
