Hi all,

New member here!

I'm in the process of purchasing a Mk6 Golf GTI DSG. It is a Japanese Import.

Thank you in advance for all the questions I will have as a first time Golf owner :-)

Cheers!

Welcome Stevo

That sounds like an interesting vehicle you have on its way. There have been a few others on here with Japanese imports so I’m sure there’ll be advice on common hurdles.

Hi Stevo,

Excellent choice, just picked up a Mk7 GTI import and I am over the moon with it. Only three points I've found so far I think is worth noting. Not sure if it's the same for you but obviously the Speedo is in Km/h, I was also informed the underneath isn't protected like they are in the UK and finally the stereos aren't tuned to the exact same frequency as ours however I seem to get enough stations to get by. I hope you enjoy your car as much as I am!
