Seat Protection
« on: 14 June 2021, 13:57 »
Hi,

Does anyone have any recommendations on what protection to put on the cloth seats to help with spills and crumbs from little children?

Thanks,
Peter

Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric has been recommended on the forum recently for use on alcantara seats, but it can also be used on normal cloth upholstery too.

It gets good reviews on the above website. Discount code DW05 should get you 5% discount with Clean Your Car (assuming the code is still active), although you may find it cheaper elsewhere.

I've used the same Gtechniq product twice now, easy to apply - stinks for a couple of days after - then fine. Only thing is..... I can't say I've then spilt anything to know it was worth it

From the numerous times I've applied it, I would definitely removed the seats to apply. It's fairly heavy on the spell of Vodka imo, but it's summer so you should get away with it since you can have the windows down a lot.

I used Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric recently after seeing it on here.  Over my alcantara seats, it is invisible.  Quite chemically smelling when applied but i did it on a sunny day, so could leave the doors open after.  Water just beads now.  I also put it on the floor mats and carpet, should help with cleaning that.
