Attempted theft

Hi everyone,

You might know that I had a GTI stolen in 2015 and I’ve just had a lucky escape tonight. Basically a young lad walked into my garage as I was getting the car out. He’s then walked beside my drivers door and asked me to put the window down. As this point I floored it in reverse out of the garage and down the road. Close call.

Think I’ve finally had enough now.

I can’t begin to tell you how awful it was. I think I finally, after 20 years, need to give up on performance Golfs.

The garage is attached to my house so came straight into the property. R, gti, you name it, they want it. I actually think they were on the way to my neighbours to look at their bmw and Audi when they saw me put the garage door up.

Thanks. He had a surgical mask though and hoodie up so no chance of identifying him. Felt very opportunistic tbh.

Honestly Fred I have no idea how I didn’t run the second fella over as he stood at the bottom of the drive. All four pipes in his kneecaps.

Sorry to read this. Don't  blaim you if you now got rid of it. Somethings are just not worth the hassle.

They do seem to just not care now.

Not sure were about in the country you live but this is happening more and more sadly.
