I can't believe how many people are freaked out by the volume dial not being perfectly upright  Some people have some serious OCD on here

Im just pleased to learn im not the only one who has to have the volume knob pointing upright.

The colour of the trim section you have bought is from a lower model Golf 7.5, so I would not recommend changing all trim parts to match the colour of the new trim section. I would recommend you change to the Gloss Black trim the GTI had in MK7.5 guise. Perhaps you can take that part back to VW and explain.

Well I did ask them for gloss black but sadly they said they no longer offer it in gloss black? I might eventually try to find someone breaking one near me and go for all the gloss black pieces

Upgraded my screen to the 8" glass screen from the new 7.5s. Looks much better and also an absolute bargain for £80 (although £147 for the trim surround is a joke).

Have a word with Alex at VW Retrofit in Redditch, he does a lot of upgrades for people to Pro-nav's so should have a spare mib2.5 surround laying about.

Just taken my TCR over it's first 10,000 miles. A great car with a few foibles plus the annoying DSG but all in all, I'm very pleased with it and looking forward to crossing the 20k threshold

Omg someone that does VW key cutting & coding. They seem so few and far between by me. VW dealership quote is around £250 and I've only found 1 other place close that do them for £190.
Shame he's not closer to me

£250 isn't the worst, a friend got quoted £300 for his astra key after they bent the key!

Yeah I've heard of quotes in the £300-£400 region too. Gone are the days when you could pick up a spare key for less than £100
