Car ownership is an expensive game. I paid over £1200 for my first year of insurance at 17.. for a 1 litre mini, and that was a loooong time ago. Try adding your parents as named drivers to your policy, it can bring the premium down.

its a bad time for new policies for some reason, mayb the credit crunch?my mates just passed his test, he paid 1600 tpft on a 1.4 pug 205 lol, 2 years ago i paid 1500 tpft on a mk3 golf 1.8se n my mate paid 1250 tpft on a mk3 1.4 golf...but yea as topher and chuff said add ur rents as named drivers (make sure its a woman) put ur avg. milage as 7000 or below and take off commuting(2 and from work) this usualy takes it down by about 30%! also try quinn-direct as most of the people i know go with them for there first year then your premiums cut by about 50%
coming soon ;)
