WANTED: 4 x 18" Pretoria wheels in silver

I've had enough of diamond cut wheels that look terrible with road salt or any minor scuff 2 years after refurbing, so I fancy some 18" silver Pretoria style wheels.

Before I order some brand new CM "Pretoria Style" wheels, does anyone have any VW 18" wheels in silver in good condition that I should consider?

Good luck trying to find a genuine silver set (18") for sensible money, they are rarer than rocking horse manure.

There is a brand new set on ebay for £1199 without tyres.

I originally wanted a silver set for our car to replace the diamond cut wheels, but due to how rare they are, I eventually settled on the matt dark graphite grey same as per the link above.

VW were selling 4 x Pretoria 18" matt dark graphite wheels with Continental premium contact 6 tyres (225/40R18 92Y XL) for £1360 not so long ago. It might be worth seeing if anyone has old stock if you do consider this colour.

Thanks bogwoppit - it sounds like you were in a similar position to me.

I'm tempted to go with a brand new set of CM replicas in silver if I can't get a set of VW Pretorias at a good price. I could pay £480 for the CM wheels, plus a set of my preferred Michelin PS4 tyres and still be cheaper than the VW Pretorias with the Continentals.

I've got 4mm on the tyres on my Austins currently, so I've got a few weeks/months to find something before I am forced into making a decision!
