Mk2 or vr6 or both?!? Pics

Hello everyone,

I'm moving back to vw ownership after a stint with a skoda Octavia vrs (too new and comfortable!  ) I'm thinking going back to a mk2 gti as I've had one before and loved it or a corrado vr6 which is defiantly an itch that needs stratching! Of course there is the middle ground which is a mk2 with a vr6 dropped in but I'm always a bit dubious about engine swaps as I'm no mechanic and I would have no idea if it had been done properly! Are they a difficult engine swap? Any horror stories or tips about mk2 vr6?

Anyone on here ever had a corrado or a mk2 vr6 that could help with my decision?

Ps my Octavia is for sale in the classifieds hint hint!

That would be a good donor car but im no mechanic so Im looking for a either a complete mk2 conversion or a corrado.

the VR is a heavy engine for the mk2... I've not driven one but the mk3 dosent handle as well due to the weight up front.

Why not go for a 1.8t mk2? (all parts to convert are avalible easily and there's a few on here who can sort it for you)

That does look great pal, is that a genuine vr or a conversion? At the mo i dont have much cash until my octavia is sold.  So right now im in the position to offer you a few hundred quid and a half drunk can of dr pepper!

Tbh mate i'm not that into skoda VRS's. If i get rid of this i'm after an edition 30 golf or a BMW M3 E46. and its genuine VR6. not been messed around with or anything.
