But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Suck a fickle game!  Just played one round and finished 6-12, it was like I was firing blanks.  Didn't help there was someone hacking on the other side.  56-6, all headshots, please!  Next round 11-1 and MVP!

That's why PC multiplayer gaming sucks, you get hackers which ruin the game for everyone. Happened with HL, CS, HL2, CS:2 etc etc etc etc Give me a console any day thanks, has less potential to have a game hacked to that extent.
