Bad luck Exonian, but better the wheel than the wing. Doesn't look too bad. Just don't bother to clean the wheels, it'll soon disappear under some brake dust!
Thanks Watts.
& I quite agree, brake dust is the answer and after taking the car out its looking less obvious already!
I was very relieved when I confirmed the wing was unscathed.
Still depressed but relieved none the less!
The rate we've all been picking up damage lately I'm almost scared to go near the car.
Andy I feel your pain. Nothing worse than hearing that noise of the wheel hitting something.
You might be lucky since it looks entirely on the angled lip so should be reasonably easy to disguise.
I might be inclined to rub with 3000 grit on the edges first.
The only problem is you know where it is so it will always catch your eye
@Eccie
Thanks Steve.
Yes, when I was inspecting the "wound" my mind went towards a bit of wet and dry plus a check through of my old stocks of touch up paints to see if I still have any greys.
Atlas Grey or Steel Grey might do the trick.
If it annoys me too much I'll have to get it refurbed but I'll see what I can do first.
Knowing me I'll end up making it worse when I rub it down and no doubt slip!
